Writer David Wilson

Is quartz good for fireplace?

Quartz is a very heat resistant material. High-temperature applications benefit greatly from the use of quartz and resin. You can use this to replace the ambient heat that your fireplace would produce. It works well with both wood-burning and gas-burning stoves.

Is quartz OK for fireplace surround?

With 93% quartz and 7% resin, quartz is an extremely durable stone that is resistant to fracturing and other common blemishes such as scuffing or burning. The heat resistance of quartz makes it ideal for a fireplace surround.

Is quartz a good material for a fireplace hearth?

Quartz, unlike granite, is nonporous and more durable. As a result, it’s an excellent choice for use in a fireplace. Quantum quartz is generally less expensive than granite or marble, but this is not always the case.

Is quartz better than granite?

Quartz is more durable due to its higher hardness than granite. Quartz, on the other hand, is nearly indestructible and bacteria-free because it isn’t porous like granite.

Is quartz a non combustible material?

Until two years ago, we would have considered quartz a suitable material for a fireplace surround. Quartz was used in the design of the kitchen counters and the fireplace surround. Because it is noncombustible, it complies with building codes.
