How do I turn on my Skytech fireplace remote?

The main gas valve should open and the main gas flame should ignite after the pilot flame has been lit. Turn the switch off by pressing the button. The main gas flame and the pilot flame must both be extinguished. Switch to ON mode by pressing MODE on your transmitter and sliding the remote control’s switch to REMOTE (the center position).

Why does my fireplace remote not work?
