Hamster babies, called pups, tend to grow quickly. People also call them the name of a kitten. There are many species within the baby hamsters, each having its distinct name. Regardless of their breed, people call them by the name of their choice.

They are born with about one to twenty similar pups. However, their mothers prefer to nurse them together. Baby hamsters live in dry and warm areas such as deserts and sands. They first appear in Syria.

What Baby Hamsters Look Like?

Baby hamsters have visible hairs and teeth developed within a week. Their skin usually contains pigmentation. When baby hamsters are born, they are naturally blind and cannot see. They tend to move here and thereby themselves within ten days of being born. Primarily, they depend on mother feed. However, they can eat any solid food in little amounts like seeds, vegetables, and fruits after ten days.

Baby hamsters open their eyes at the age of just 17 days. With time, they began to see things, but they are naturally color blind. 

When baby hamsters are born, their body color is pink. However, it becomes hairy quickly. Their body gets cover with dark-colored fur of hamster. The size of the baby hamster varies according to its breed, but they are too tiny. 

The popular breed of baby hamsters includes baby Syrian hamsters, baby dwarf hamsters, and baby teddy bear hamsters. Baby hamsters have a thin type of skin, and they are delicate to handle carefully. They crawl too early at the age of 5 days. These little pups also have ears attached to their heads. They start to resemble their adults during the age maximum of four weeks.
