Clown loach is also known as tiger botia. It is a tropical freshwater fish. It belongs to the botid loach family. It is the only member of the genus Chromobotia. It is found on the islands of Sumatra and Borneoinl and in inland waters in Indonesia. This fish is known as ulanguli in Sentarum, West Borneo. Clown loach is omnivore. The lifespan of clown loach is at least 10 years.

We can say that they can eat all kinds of snails. Clown loaches eat flakes, frogs, and nerites. If we talk about worms, clown loaches can eat detritus worms. Blood worm is the best food for clown loaches.

Clown loach can eat algae and algae wafers. Clown loaches can eat ghost shrimp and Amano shrimp but they cannot eat cherry shrimp or red cherry shrimp.
