What Do Common Carp Eat?
David Wilson
Common carp, also known as European carp, is a freshwater species of fish. It inhabits large seas, oceans, rivers, and lakes. But they prefer slow-moving lakes and rivers having moderate to low oxygen levels and warm water around 86 degrees F. It is native to Europe and Asia. In Asian countries, the common carp is considered a symbol of longevity and prosperity. Asian carps cause serious damage to other native fishes of the oceans and seas because they eat other fishes for food and space.
