Corydoras are said to be omnivorous which means that they feed on plants, aquatic animals, and bottom insects for their survival. Corydoras are freshwater catfish that remain at the bottom and live on bottom insects. They are not aggressive and harmful to other fishes.
An average cory dora is about one–four inches in length. Corydoras species are native to America but they are also found on the Atlantic coast and in northern Argentina. Plants and algae
Corydoras love to eat bottom insects however they may eat some plants and veggies when there is not enough food. They can eat algae flakes, algae wafers. Corydoras can eat cucumbers, carrots, flakes, dead plant matter, and some other vegetables like lettuce and zucchini. Corydoras also love to eat biofilms and diatoms. Corydoras can eat daphnia also when found them.
Insects and aquatic animals
Corydoras mostly feed on feed on dead fishes and insects etc. Corydoras can eat shrimps, only the smaller ones. What cory doras don’t eat
Corydoras don’t like to eat live fish. They only suck the nutrients from their mouth. Corydoras don’t eat live plants like hydra and planaria, they only feed dead plant matter. Also, Corydoras don’t eat detritus worms and each other. Also, Corydoras don’t eat wood, guppy or guppy fry. They don’t harm fellow fishes.
