Domestic ducks are found throughout the world except for Antarctica because its weather can be too cold for ducks, and they can’t tolerate it. Ducks are also referred to as waterfowls because they love habitats like ponds, rivers, marshes, oceans, and lakes.

The weight of domestic ducks varies according to their region and diet. The average weight of domestic ducks ranges from 1.6 kg to 3.6 kg. The average size of a domestic duck is 50 to 60 cm in length. A domestic duck can live for 5 to 10 years.

Domestic ducks can eat insects like ants, beetles, grasshoppers, and snails. Domestic ducks also eat small aquatic animals such as small fishes, shrimps, and different crustaceans. Domestic ducks can eat worms, crickets, and slugs. Domestic ducks can feed on bugs present on leaves and fruits. Ducks can eat goldfish and crayfish from the ponds.
