Grosbeak is said to be omnivorous because they eat plants and insects for their survival. Grosbeaks are native to Northern Canada found in the regions of Yukon and Northwest Territories. They are migratory birds. They migrate in August and September towards the Central and South American regions. Grosbeak love to eat berries during their migratory season.

Grosbeaks are found in semi-open fields, shrubs, parks, gardens, orchards, and coniferous forests.

Grosbeaks eat different plants and bugs. Grosbeak will eat beetles, grasshoppers, wasps, caterpillars, snails, moths, bees, ants, sawflies, and many others. Grosbeak can eat worms such as mealworms, crickets, and ticks.

Grosbeaks love to eat berries and seeds. Grosbeak does eat safflower seeds and safflowers. Although safflowers are hard and they are difficult to swallow but grosbeaks eat them easily.
