House mice may also chew through timber and drywall walls. Once inside, a mouse may chew holes in furniture, cupboards, and baseboards. It may also eat the rubber insulation that covers electrical lines. House mice may even bite straight through the wires, shorting out electrical gadgets and posing a fire threat.
