What Do Panther Chameleons Eat?
Ethan Hayes
Panther chameleons are insectivores, which means that only live insects should be fed to them. Panther chameleons eat Crickets, silkworms, hornworms, butterworms, dubia roaches, and superworms, which are some of the best feeder insects available. Waxworms and mealworms contain a significant amount of fat and are difficult to digest, so they should only be consumed on rare occasions. The general rule is to avoid feeding insects that are sick or injured.

neonates: as many little crickets as they are capable of devouring in ten minutes
Children 3-6 months of age should be fed 10-20 tiny crickets every day.
Children between the ages of 6 and 12 months: 10-12 medium crickets each day for each child.
Adults over the age of 12 months should consume 7-10 medium-sized crickets every other day.

It is necessary to supplement your diet with calcium-rich veggies (like mustard greens, turnip greens, dandelions, etc)
it should be fed to your chameleon several hours before it is. Inadequate dietary calcium results in metabolic bone disease, which is a type of bone disease.
Animals and Insects
Panther chameleons feed largely on a variety of worms that are found in the environment, as well as insects such as crickets, grasshoppers, roaches, and other similar creatures, depending on where they live in their range.
Plants and Fruits
Filling your chameleon’s enclosure with lots of lush living plants is the best way to do this. For these reasons, I prefer live plants to fake ones.
They give your chameleon plenty of places to hide and feel protected. This will aid in the reduction of stress and the prevention of stress-related disorders.
Chameleons exclusively consume plant water drops. Sure, drops form on artificial leaves, but what could be more natural than droplets of freshwater forming on fresh green leaves?
The humidity of the cage is maintained by live plants. Plants that breathe assist to keep the air from being too dry, which is especially important during the winter. Panther chameleons also eat plants, vegetables, fruit, and leaves.
What Panther chameleons don’t eat?
Panther chameleons don’t eat Idaho potatoes, iceberg lettuce, spinach, broccoli, tomatoes, corn, grains, beans, bread, cereal, meat, eggs, dog, cat, and fish food, canned or dried insects, or vertebrates (pinkies, lizards). Some commercially produced gut loads (Farms Orange Cubes, Fluker Farms High Calcium) are convenient, however, Cricket Diet, Nature Zone Cricket Bites) are deficient in calcium, are unbalanced, and/or do not provide adequate nutrients.
