Red wasps hate peppermint, lemongrass, clove, geranium essential oils, vinegar, cucumber, bay leaves, scented herbs, geranium flowers. They also don’t like ginger due to its pungency. They are not attracted to fragrances. People usually use lemon, peppermint, and essential oil sprays at their places to avoid red wasps. Red wasps do not eat big insects like spiders. Red wasps don’t like to eat on mosquitoes.
Red wasps never feed on their host. Ladybugs are the most common hosts of red wasps because they lay their eggs on ladybugs and never harm their hosts.
