Apparently, roosters love to eat eggs to the point that they will go crazy for it. A rooster will easily crack open eggs and start eating away. The majority of roosters that live with hens will certainly eat layer feed. However, roosters should be 18 months or older before they start eating layer feed. Also, layer feed has a lot of calcium so you have to ensure that you don’t give roosters too much layer feed to eat.
Roosters do eat snakes and are known to prey on even venomous snakes. Roosters don’t necessarily go looking for snakes to eat, but if there’s any opportunity to eat a snake, then the rooster will certainly go for it.

Roosters don’t necessarily eat more than hens; they pretty much eat the same thing. Roosters love to eat rice, noodles, bread, cheese, and pellets. It’s common for roosters to eat rocks accidentally when feeding. Roosters don’t eat hens, baby ducks, dogs, chicks, or their young. Roosters don’t eat at night; they mainly sleep and will eat during the day.
