Tarantulas are the world’s largest arachnids. The fact that they are all covered with hair and rather large defines them all. The majority of them are black or brown in color; however, they can range in size from 7 to 10 centimeters in length all the way up to 30 centimeters in length for the world’s largest spider.

Tarantulas are carnivores, which means they eat meat. Tarantulas eat Mice, baby birds (occasionally), hummingbirds, and frogs. Tarantulas are nocturnal predators that prey at night. Tarantulas eat insects such as grasshoppers, beetles, and other small spiders and arthropods, as well as small lizards. They are nocturnal predators who prey at night.
