What is s flow Lexus?

Writer Ethan Hayes

The Lexus S-Flow System uses sensors to detect if the front passenger seat is occupied and if it isn’t, the system shuts the vents so to efficiently deliver air only to the driver and not the unoccupied seat. It is like a compressor sitting at the end of the duct.

When there are no passengers in the car:

When the vehicle key is placed into the ignition and the engine is started, the S-Flow system will be activated. If the front passenger seat is unoccupied, the system will divert air away from that area and towards the driver. This will help to conserve energy and keep the driver comfortable.

When there is a passenger in the car:

If there is a passenger sitting in the front passenger seat, the S-Flow system will allow air to pass through that area. The passenger in the front seat is allowed a full range of ventilation and can enjoy climate control just as if he were driving alone.

Why does this happen?

In order for the Lexus S-Flow System to divert air away from the front passenger seat, it uses an electronic sensor. This sensor is able to detect if there is someone sitting in the seat or not. If there is no one sitting in the seat, then the system knows to divert air away from that area and towards the driver.

How does this benefit me?

The Lexus S-Flow System is beneficial to you because it helps to conserve energy. By using this system, the car will not have to work as hard to cool or heat the front passenger seat area. This in turn saves you money on your fuel bill. The system is also beneficial because it keeps the driver comfortable by delivering air only to him/her.

How does this work?

The Lexus S-Flow System uses an electronic sensor to detect if someone is sitting in the front seat. If there are no occupants detected in the front seat, then the system will close off that part of the duct and direct air towards the driver. If there is a passenger in the front seat, then the system will allow air to pass through that area.
