What kind of battery does a lexus key fob take?

Writer Andrew Davis

CR1632 and CR1616 Panasonic batteries are some of the most popular types of batteries used in key fobs. They are both 3-volt lithium coin cells. Other battery types that might be used in a key fob include AA and AAA batteries.
When it comes to replacing the battery in your key fob, there are a few things you need to consider. The first is the type of battery required. The second is the size of the battery compartment in your key fob. In addition, the third is whether you have the tools to open the compartment and replace the battery.
If you are not, sure what kind of battery your key fob takes, check with the manufacturer or take it to a locksmith or car dealership. They should be able to tell you what type of battery it uses.
You can also find out what kind of battery your key fob takes by looking at the back of the remote. There should be a label with the appropriate information, or you can search online to find out what kind of battery is used in your particular key fob.
If you have all the tools, you need and you know what kind of battery your key fob takes, then there’s only one more thing left to do: replace the old with the new! It does not take long; most batteries will last up to two years before they begin to lose their effectiveness. The replacement process usually requires that you first remove some screws on your car door (or elsewhere). Then use pliers or tweezers to pop the old battery out of its compartment. After inserting the new one, make sure it’s firmly in place and put everything back together.
Replacing a key fob battery is usually not difficult as long as you know what kind of battery your key fob takes and where to find the battery compartment. You should be able to replace the battery yourself within five minutes or less.
