How long should you wait to flip your septum piercing?
For the first six to eight weeks after getting a septum piercing, you should not change or rotate your jewelry. In order to avoid irritation and infection, we recommend that you visit your piercer so that they can assist you in moving or changing your piercing.
Can you flip septum while healing?
Is it possible to heal while it’s flipped up? Yes! To help with healing, this piercing can be placed upside down. If you must, we advise you to begin with a retainer or a circular barbell.
Can I flip my septum up after 2 weeks?
For the first four to six weeks, it’s fine to leave your jewelry flipped up, as long as it’s properly fitted. Traditional circular barbells (aka horseshoes) can be flipped up the same day as a piercing and should not be visible.
How long do septum Crusties last?
When you’re first starting to feel the effects, it’s completely normal. It’s likely that any crusting after that will be a lot more boogers than crust. You can use warm water and a piece of gauze to gently remove any crust that has built up. Alternatively, you could soak it in water to loosen up the crusting.
