If this person is also using the app, then blocking them will prevent them from being able to see your location anymore.

Blocking someone doesn’t have to be permanent.

—if you change your mind, there’s always the option of unblocking them later on.

Blocking someone

Blocking someone will stop them from seeing your location and profile, but you’ll still be able to see theirs.

They won’t be able to message you or add you as friends.

They also won’t be able to invite you to groups or events, but if you already belong to any groups with them, that will not change unless someone else invites them in.

Unblock them as well.

If you’ve already blocked someone, you can unblock them as well. To do so:

  • On your phone: Go to Settings > Manage Blocking and select the person whose location sharing you want to turn on or off.

When finished, tap Block again in the top right-hand corner.

  • On the web: Click on your profile photo in the top right-hand corner of any window and choose Settings from the dropdown menu next to Who can see me?

In this section, click or tap Unblock next to their name and enter a reason if prompted.

You can block or unblock people at any time.
