Where do baby ducks sleep?

Writer Robert King

The baby duck falls asleep quickly because they are nowhere else to fall back to sleep except the nest and its warmness. Baby ducks live in the marshes, where they sleep on their mothers’ feet or below the surface of the water.

Baby ducks cannot see at night because the pupil in their eye is so large that it takes a lot of light to contract. When the lights are dimmed or turned off, baby ducks are unable to see what is around them. The bill of a duck has special microscopically small bumps in it. The bumps scatter light and help the duck to see better at night.
