Where do cheetahs sleep? - Kylon Powell
Rachel Davis
Cheetahs live in a wide range of habitats and tend to show more adaptability to different habitats than other big cats. Cheetahs are mainly crepuscular, that is, they are active mainly during the twilight hours of dawn and dusk. However, in the heat of midday, they rest in the shade of trees or bushes, or in burrows or rocky shelters especially when located close to water.

Their fast speed gives them the advantage, allowing them to find food quickly and escape predators. Cheetahs are at the top of the food chain because of their speed and sharp claws, teeth, and ears.
Cheetahs are nearly always on the move. They sleep for a few hours in the afternoon but otherwise never nap for longer than a few minutes at a time. Their bodies need to be constantly moving in order to stay warm and hunt prey.
Cheetahs sometimes eat while they are hunting, but mostly they prefer to drag their kill to a quiet spot where they can enjoy it in peace before moving on again. The cheetah is not a scavenger though so don’t expect to find one snacking on scraps. Cheetahs do like to drink water occasionally but this does not have to be done very often. They get the majority of their water from the prey that they eat.
Why are cheetahs friendly to humans?
Cheetahs are capable of living in the wild without becoming tame. Cheetahs have friendly and playful nature towards humans but are still cheetahs. Cheetahs will remain wild carnivores and can never be domesticated. Humans can approach and pet many other cats, but only cheetahs are non-aggressive towards humans.
How long do cheetahs live
