In 2017 there were over 2.6 million customers who owned competitive vehicles who went to Chrysler Group dealerships for light maintenance, such as rotation of tires and oil changes. Today, the Chrysler Group’s Mopar division has announced an agreement to strategically partner in partnership with Magneti Marelli and Shell Lubricants which will allow its dealership network the capacity to service all competitive vehicles.
“After the introduction of a variety of initiatives that improve the service we provide to our customers with specific brand-specific customer-care lines, extended hours of service on weekends and weekdays, and an effort to create Mopar Express Lanes providing service to owners of vehicles with competition is the next step” explained Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar Chrysler Group’s parts, service as well as customer care brand. “For customers who own vehicles that compete Mopar’s deal to work with Magneti Marelli and Shell Lubricants effectively makes one-stop shops for service in Mopar’s Chrysler Group dealerships.
In addition, with adding 3,000 tested quality parts, our dealer network now has the capability of fully servicing customers who enter our service lane with comparable vehicles. “In addition to customers who have high-quality vehicles Mopar dealers will be able to supply independent repair shops with a complete range of top-quality components,” said Gorlier. “With this exclusive partnership, the move will further establish Mopar as an industry leader in customer service.”
In the month of April, Magneti Marelli will begin providing Mopar as well as Chrysler Group dealerships with brakes and struts, shocks and oil filters, as well as air filtering, fuel filters as well as cabin filters for other brands. Other lines of products will slowly be added to those of the Chrysler Group dealership network. “Over the last couple of months, we’ve collaborated in close collaboration with Mopar on synergies between distribution and our parts range offering,” said Dino Maggioni the Director of Magneti Marelli Aftermarket. “We are excited to build its presence on the U.S. aftermarket, bringing our expertise in product development and becoming the primary supplier of the company’s all-brands parts.”
