Why can’t you eat after fluoride?
Robert King
A lot of toothpaste are using fluoride as one of its ingredients. It has many benefits including fighting cavities, strengthening teeth, and reducing the chance you will get a cavity. You should always brush your teeth with toothpaste containing fluoride twice a day. However, there are also some dangers to brushing your teeth too much.

Also, the amount of fluoride in your toothpaste is not safe for young children to swallow. If they do swallow this, however, they might get very sick as well; although the effects are not usually as painful or dangerous as adults who swallow too much fluoride.
So, if you brush with a toothpaste containing fluoride and swallow some of it by accident, you will not die or become seriously ill. However, the fluoride in your toothpaste is still not safe for young children to swallow. Although this does happen sometimes and usually is not a big deal if their parents take them to the emergency room right away, this is why it is best to only use toothpaste with fluoride meant for people twelve and up.
Another reason you should not brush your teeth too often or swallow too much toothpaste with fluoride in it is that your teeth can get a chalky white color if you do this too many times. This makes them look bad and make it look like you never brush your teeth. However, this will go away after a couple of days if you do not use any toothpaste containing fluoride.
So, fluoride can be dangerous to swallow but is not fatal and will only cause white marks on your teeth for a little bit if you do. Still, it is best to not brush your teeth too much or swallow any toothpaste with fluoride in it, especially if you are a young child.
