Cat is secure and feels safe

If your cat is prone to rolling on the concrete, particularly when you are around him then you can take it as an honor. This simply means that he is safe and secure around you and that he is able to relax.

Cat is trying to grab your interest

Another reason your cat is rolling around on the floor is that it is trying to catch your focus. Perhaps he’s hungry, or maybe he wants to have fun with you. Take note of the situation and your cat’s vocalizations and body expressions. These can help you understand what your cat is in need of right now. Similar to other cat behavior such as rolling on the floor an acquired behavior. If your cat is able to get what he desires after rolling around on the floor, then in time, he will learn that doing this will earn him a reward. This could be as an edible treat or even pets.

The cat is marking his territory

Domestic cats aren’t the only felines to exhibit the habit of rolling around on the ground. Even large cats have been observed doing this bizarre behavior. One reason that cats rolling across the floor is that it is trying to identify his place of residence. Like all animals, cats emit pheromones, which are used to identify their territory. If your cat is laying across the ground, it is trying to release its scent onto the floor to repel other cats who might pass through or even the other cats in your home.

Cat is itchy

While cats are incredibly adept at adjusting and grooming their bodies extremely well There are some places inside their body parts that can’t reach using their tongues or their paws. A good example is an area in between the shoulder blades. Your pet could be rolling around on the floor in order to reach that particular area that is itchy.
