Why Do Spiders Wiggle Their Bums?
Gabriel Cooper
Spiders are the unwanted creatures in homes. Some people are very afraid of these creatures but some don’t bother. Some spiders are tiny and non-poisonous and some are venomous and some can jump. When you see a spider jumping and coming your way, you always scream badly. Spiders are the eight legged insects and they are active predators but they also do some strange things like sometimes they wiggle their bums and sometimes they lift their first leg up. Here we see why spiders do these things.

Mostly female spiders prey on male spiders either before or after mating. Male spiders wiggle their bum in the air in hope that somehow they can survive more. Male Peacock spiders are known as the best bum wigglers. They use their bum wiggling dance skills to attract females before mating. If they don’t do that they might get eaten by other spiders or females.
Some spiders also wiggle their bums when they are making the webs. When they start building the web they always wiggle bum to release silk from it. With the help of their legs they always release silk and move back and forth. This process continues till they completely make their web. Spiders make different types of webs such as radial and orb webs. The web which you mostly see in your house and backyards is the radial web.
Spiders often wiggle their bum first when they are going to catch the prey. Some spiders wiggle bum when they sense any threat coming towards them. They sense the danger and wiggle their bum high in the air. They use this as a signal to warn other spiders.
