Why does my cat sleep on my pillow?
Andrew Davis
There are four reasons that cats prefer to rest upon our beds.
Silky Terrier Dog Breed Playing Aro... Silky Terrier Dog Breed Playing Around1. Your cat is keeping an eye on you: Like the other animals who are around them. It is a direct result of the primal instinct to rest with other cats that they trust in the wild, and keep an eye on one another. When you sleep on your pillow, your cat is positioned in a shady position against the wall or the headboard and has the best view of you as well as any other movements within the space.
2. Your cat is “Sharing” your warmth: It’s not a secret that cats love to have a warm place to lay down. The temperature drops in the home at night without heating and if you don’t want to rest under blankets, the most sweltering place in the house is likely to be your pillow. The perfect funnel to generate heat, if you consider it. We wrap ourselves snug and cozy to stay warm, and then our body parts let most of the heat escape are our heads. A pillow that is too hot can be a problematic issue for certain types of pillows, including memory foam. It’s the perfect place for cats even if they force us to leave and even eat it.
3. Your Cat is Loving You and Would Love to Be Close: Regardless it is a confirmation of what the majority of pet owners know. However, other people who look in (I’m talking about pet owners here) do not believe it. Cats are loving us!
If it requires you to give up half or more than half your pillows, then I think it’s a fair compromise.
