Anxiety over being apart

It may also be that it suffers from separation anxiety, leading it to slumber in the middle of the night so that it is aware of when one of you leaves. This is particularly probable if it exhibits symptoms of anxiety when you are away from it throughout the day, such as pacing or crying.
