Why Does My iPhone Volume Keep Going Down?

Writer Rachel Davis

If the sound is excessively loud, the iPhone volume will automatically be reduced to protect your hearing. If this setting is enabled, the iPhone will automatically reduce the level of whatever is playing if the sound intensity exceeds the marked limitations.

The sound level has been reduced. The volume has been reduced to preserve your hearing based on your use of the headphones over the last seven days. It’s an intriguing tweak that can help us with our ear health, but the problem is that when the iPhone is linked to speakers or a car, iOS sometimes confuses the Bluetooth device and lowers the volume. This is how you can repair it if this is your situation.

Why does my iPhone’s volume automatically decrease?

It’s all because of the new environment. This option is included in the iPhone settings, and we can use it to boost the volume of the iPhone by disabling it or adjusting it to different levels of sound strength. To accomplish this, you must take the following steps:

  • Go to your device’s settings.
  • Find and enter the section Sounds and vibrations.
  • A section titled Headphone Safety will appear.
  • Reduce loud sounds can be enabled or disabled from within the program.
  • If you enable it, you can choose the dB level you want to use as a limit
  • The iPhone 12 Pro comes in two colors: blue and white.

This is most likely the source of low iPhone volume when using wireless headphones. It’s one of the new health features included in iOS 14. We can see a detailed graph of the dB levels we’ve experienced when wearing headphones in the Health app.
If the levels are too high for seven days, iPhone will reduce the volume to protect us. The headphones’ loudness will be controlled by health. It’s a setting we encourage activating, but if you’ve had trouble connecting to Bluetooth devices other than headphones, you might want to disable it.
