Why Is My Girlfriend Gaining Weight?

Writer John Campbell

Having a conversation with your girlfriend about her weight gain might not be easy at all. Talking about someone’s weight can be a very touchy subject. You don’t want to your girlfriend to feel like she’s fat or that she doesn’t look good. This is why you have to be careful about your own personal thoughts and feelings towards your girlfriend’s weight gain.

If you tell her that she’s gaining weight and getting bigger, she might not like that at all. She might think that you are not happy with the way that she looks or that you’re trying to change her. So, there’s not an easy way to approach this topic.

Dietary changes can cause your girlfriend to gain more weight than usual. If she’s been eating differently in terms of foods that are not all that healthy or that would be considered junk food, then that could cause her to start gaining more weight than she usually would.

If your girlfriend has been sad or depressed, she might start eating based on how she feels emotionally. Sometimes when people are emotional or going through something, they will start eating a lot to cope with how they feel. As a result of this, it has caused her to put on more weight.

Regardless of why you think your girlfriend has gained weight, you should approach this with caution. Perhaps, you can find ways to introduce her to healthier foods or maybe you guys can go to the gym together.

You have to say things in a way that shows that you do love and care about her. Let her know that you want to see her be the best her that she can be and that you’re not trying to bring her down or anything like that. If not, things can come off the wrong way if you’re only telling her that she’s fat or she’s gaining weight.
