After all, you want to spend time with your friends on a fine day by jet skiing.

This makes you question, “Why is my jet ski not starting”

Of course, your craft has to operate properly for you to enjoy the experience.

But if it doesn’t, then you’ll need to find out why.

Here are some reasons that may be a hindrance to your jet skiing.

This goes without saying that if you don’t have technical expertise, then be sure to check with your dealership.

It’s the battery problem

The most common hindrance that keeps your jet ski from starting is a battery problem.

Either your battery is dead or it’s not charged fully.

Even if you try to turn the key in your craft and nothing happens, then it’s likely a sign that your battery is dead. In that case, you’ll need a new battery replacement.

And in some cases, your display will switch on, which simply indicates that your battery needs to be fully charged.

Starter Relay

The starter relay is that important component that along with your battery powers the craft. When it becomes faulty, it doesn’t do its job properly. Therefore, the problem why your jet ski is not starting has to do with a bad starter relay.

In simple terms, the starter relay has been subjected to wear and tear if the machine is old.

In that case, you’ll need to get it replaced by visiting your dealership.

Your craft has sucked up

If you notice a weird shake when riding your jet ski, it could be because it has sucked something up!

Most of the time, you can’t sense it because it’s not always so apparent.

However, it’s a common occurrence for any jet ski to suck things up that can become a big deal for you!

This is another reason why your jet ski won’t start. Unfortunately, it has got some of its parts damaged.

In that case, you better get it fixed so you can enjoy your Jet Ski ride.

Other Jet Ski parts that are faulty

If everything seems fine with your craft, then there might be other things causing the hindrance.

Another technical component can be the reason why your jet ski isn’t starting.

It could be because the buttons are faulty or broken or the fuel injector is faulty.

If those parts seem to work just fine, then you’ll need to check for other things.

For example, it could be the gas or the fuel problem.

Since you can’t be sure why it’s happening, it’s always better to visit your local repair shop.

They’ll inspect your craft and see what’s causing the problem. This might cost you some bucks, but it’ll be worth it.

And you’ll be back to using it for your next jet-skiing adventure.
