It is important for both partners in a relationship or marriage to contribute to things that have to be done in the house. If you are the provider, then you can’t be providing and cleaning and taking care of everything in the house on your own. Ideally, this is not how things should be and is a sign of an unbalanced marriage.

There has to be roles and responsibilities in a marriage. This doesn’t mean that your wife has to do everything, but she should help out and do what she can as well. She can’t be at home watching TV all day and not doing anything.

If anything, your wife should contribute to ensuring that the bathroom, kitchen and house and so on are clean. Also, she should be able to cook some food for you or the kids, assuming that you guys have kids together. So, it can’t be one person doing everything because that’s only going to lead to arguments and fights that will ultimately cause your marriage to go downhill.

It’ll be good for you and your wife to get out of the house more and do things together as a married couple. If you guys are both at home all the time and don’t do anything, then it’s only going to come off as you or your wife being lazy. People who are said to be lazy don’t do much even if they are at home or out. So, this seems to be a case where you guys both need to do things together.
