WILL EXPLORER SEATS FIT IN A RANGER?
Rachel Davis
First, you need to figure out what year your Ranger is. The model years for the Ford Explorer range from 1990 to 2016 and a few early 2017 models. If you have an older Ranger, you may want to consider replacing it with a newer one.

Most Rams have two rows of seats and up to five doors on the vehicle itself but can still accommodate six passengers comfortably if necessary (especially if you’re traveling with small children).
Explorer seats are the same width as Ranger seats, but they are a bit taller. The Explorer seat is also deeper than that of the Ranger. However, both seem to be approximately the same distance from the floor with no gap between them and the carpeted floor.
You have an awesome ranger that you’re keeping in pristine condition. You love the seats, and they still feel like they did when you first bought the truck. Great! But those explorer seats look so comfortable, and so much easier to install than your current seating solution. They’d be perfect for long road trips with friends or family, but are they worth the price?
Some of the benefits for fitting the explorer seats are;
- Comfortable: Explorer Seats are known for being very comfortable, especially if you’ve got a long commute each day and need something soft to help ease any pain from sitting in a car seat all day (or if you just prefer cushy seats).
- Easy installation: Explorer Seats come with easy-to-follow instructions that anyone can follow along with no problem whatsoever—even if English isn’t their first language. The only difficulty may come from lifting all those heavy parts into place once installed
Conclusion
The explorer seats fit in a ranger just fine. It is all up to the owner of the car to decide whether they want to fit the explorer seats in their rangers.
